Full Description: The scope of this course looks at the following as the primary guidance for the approval of residential sprinkler systems: • National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 13, Standard for the Installation of Sprinkler Systems. • NFPA 13D, Standard for the Installation of Sprinkler Systems in One- and Two-Family Dwellings and Manufactured Homes. • NFPA 13R, Standard for the Installation of Sprinkler Systems in Low-Rise Residential Occupancies. • International Residential Code Standard P2904. • Manufacturer's Data Sheets. • The ability to read and interpret the design is an essential element of preventive fire safety.

Resources Required: This course utilizes digital delivery of materials. Students will receive an email with the National Fire Academy enrollment information that includes the student manual closer to the class date. The student manual will need to be downloaded to a digital device before the start of class and brought with them fully charged.

Reporting Instructions: Lodging, Meals, Per Diem and all other travel expenses are the responsibility of the student or the parent organization.

Signup Details: This is a dual registration course. Students must also register with NETC to receive National Fire Academy credit. NETC information will be sent to students closer to the start date.
