Fire - Rope Rescuer Technician - RRT220276

Brief Description: Provides fire personnel knowledge/skills in Rescue using Rope Systems outlined in NFPA 1670 2009 Ed.

Full Description: The Rope Rescue Technician curriculum provides required training as outlined in NFPA 1670, 2009 Ed, Standard for Recue Technician Professional Qualifications; 5.4.2. This course provides those personnel with the basic knowledge and skills needed to perform rescues using rope systems. The class will cover the use of rope, rope equipment, hardware, construction of mechanical advantage systems, belay and safety systems, anchor systems, and patient packaging.

Resources Required: Check with instructor and lead evaluator as: Firefighting gear may be required for the class, but if not then old clothes, gloves and work boots are recommended for the practical activity. Students are encouraged to bring personal cameras for use in the practical activity.

Reporting Instructions: This Tech course will run in conjunction with the previous requested Ops course.
