Full Description: This program is approximately 1000 to 1500 hours of training on providing advanced life support to sick and injured patients. The paramedic works in a variety of settings from an ambulance, on a fire truck or in an emergency department. Graduates from this program will take the NREMT psychomotor and cognitive examination and upon successful completion and affiliation with a paramedic organization will be issued a paramedic license in Indiana. Prerequisite for training as a paramedic is certification as an emergency medical technician (EMT).

Prerequisites: Must hold an active certification as an Indiana Emergency Medical Technician (EMT).

Reporting Instructions: Students will complete the standard School of EMS program, with didactic content delivered online through Canvas, consistent with our other course offerings.

This location will be utilized for in-person skills training and initial pre-clinical skill sign-offs with instructors on site. All high-stakes skill evaluations will be conducted at the main campus. Equipment is provided by the School of EMS.
