Full Description: This 6-day course is designed to develop the managerial, administrative and leadership skills necessary for the first-time executive chief officer and chief officers who desire a leadership position in their agency. This course addresses critical knowledge and skills pertaining to the responsibilities of an executive chief officer such as:

Leadership and management.
Politics and the role of an executive chief officer.
Planning.
Liability and risk management.
Financial management and capital asset planning.
Human resources management.
Collaboration, cooperation and community engagement.

Resources Required: ICS-100-level (Q0462) and ICS-200-level (Q0463) training, available through NFA Online. Chief's signature attests that the applicant has completed this required training.
