This dynamic hands-on lab is a 4-hour course is designed specifically for training officers and company officers looking to enhance their understanding of fire behavior and the effective use of thermal imaging cameras (TICs). Participants will explore the science of fire dynamics, focusing on key elements such as heat transfer to better predict fire behavior in various structures.
The class will also cover the principles and practical applications of thermal imagers, including how to interpret TIC readings, identify hidden fire conditions, and make critical decisions under pressure. Real-world scenarios and case studies will illustrate how to integrate fire behavior knowledge with TIC technology to improve situational awareness, firefighter safety, and operational effectiveness.
